Off to Sausalito is a striking unisex hat that works wonderfully with Camillo’s Scarf. Made with Crystal Palace Sausalito yarn and worked in continuous rounds, it features spiraling stripes in a simple single crochet v~stitch. The hat is actually rather easy to make, though I listed it as intermediate because it can be tricky to find the ch-1 to work into sometimes, and because of the continuous rounds. However, if you just take your time and go carefully, it becomes easy after a few rounds.

Road Trip Crochet Pattern Round Up
With Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, and whatever other holidays just around the corner, many of us will be spending a decent amount of time in a car. I know when we take road trips to visit family for the holidays, I like to have a project to work on in the car, in the hotel, or even just while sitting around with friends and family. I find that I need my road trip projects to be simple enough that I can make them even if I am slightly distracted. I’ve searched around and found some patterns that I think will work nicely for road trips, I hope you enjoy them.
Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little something that each designer has to say about them.
Studio Update
Hello there my blogland friends. I hope your week is starting out well.
Today I have some more studio reno photos for you. Right now the studio is sort of at a holding point. I’m hoping that I can get most of the remaining boxed items cleaned and organized into my new space throughout November. For now, I’m still catching up on all the work that got put on hold while I was renovating.
So here are some pictures, with a bit about each one. I’m pretty happy with it.
Due to the pipes in the back corner of my basement, the little cement ledge didn’t go all the way to the back wall, so

Rhinebeck 2015
Happy Tuesday my friends! I hope your week is off to a good start.
Did you do anything special for I Love Yarn Day on Saturday? I went to Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival. I didn’t take a lot of pictures, as I was having a lot of fun and kept forgetting.
I did remember to take a photograph of where I parked. I’ve been doing that a lot when I go somewhere by myself. I’m always worried I’ll forget where I parked. But I’m sure you don’t need to see that photo, so here are a couple I took of yarnie people and pretty fall foliage.
The Sheep and Wool Festival is often just referred to as “Rhinebeck” by yarnie folk, as it is in Rhinebeck, NY. It happens

Camillo’s Scarf
Camillo’s Scarf
Crochet Pattern
Easy Skill Level
Designed by Jessie Rayot
While visiting my parents in Sicily this summer, my father asked me to make a scarf for his best friend’s birthday. We picked out yarn and a stitch pattern, and came up with this handsome scarf. It is quite simple to make, great for a traveling project. I have included a chart along with a written pattern. You can make this scarf with fingering/sock weight yarn, or you can change the starting chain length and use another weight yarn. This is a great unisex pattern to solve many of your gift~giving needs!
