We are greatly lacking white stuff outside this winter, so I thought I would bring you a round up of winter white free crochet patterns. Though you can make these patterns in whatever color you like, the designer samples for them are all white to off white.

The Nettie’s Super Simple series of patterns all use the same st, sometimes worked in the round, and sometimes worked in rows. This stitch is, as advertised, super simple! It is a stitch pattern that has been used probably since the first hook met hand. This video will show you how to make this stitch pattern in the round, so even a brand new crocheter can create these patterns!! If you are just learning to crochet, and need to know how to make your starting slip knot, a chain stitch, and a slip stitch (which are all the stitches you need), then check out the Learn To Crochet section here.

This simple cowl is worked in rows and features large diagonal blocks of solid sections and mesh sections. It’s nice and long so it can be wrapped around several times and in many ways. The wonderful color changes of the Crystal Palace Mini Mochi creates a colorful cowl without having tons of ends to weave in, plus, it’s so very soft, you’ll never want to take it off!!

Do you ever wonder how to present your handmade gifts? Well, I have a solution for you! I’ve made a collection of labels that can be printed on regular printer paper, or even on cardstock printer paper. These labels are made to be folded lengthwise, and then wrapped around your handmade items.
There are 4 styles in 3 colors each (solid black, purples, and blues) – that’s 12 labels. Here’s an image that shows the 4 styles, and the colors.

If you can crochet a chain, you can make Nettie’s Super Simple Cowl!! All you need is one skein of Lion Brand Landscapes Yarn in Tropics, a J (6.00 mm) crochet hook, and yarn needle to weave in the two ends, and one evening; because not only is this cowl super simple, it’s super fast, too! That means it’s not too late to whip up a few for last minute gifts!! Nettie’s Cowl can be worn in several different ways, and adding a shawl pin or clip to it increases the ways it can be worn. I have also included links to video tutorials for the chain stitch and the slip stitch (which is just making a chain st into another st) so even a beginner can make this cowl. Enjoy!!
