After making the Skylark in Wonderland wrap, I couldn’t help but notice that it would seam together to make a really fun skirt. I even had a feeling the angle of it would work nicely for plus size figures as well. So I dove into my Lion Brand Heartland stash and gave it a go. The results are a skirt I’m sure to wear quite frequently this fall!!

Well, this past Saturday was the Yarn and Wine tasting, and it was a blast! The weather was cooperating, so we had a tent outside to enjoy our afternoon. I want to say a big Thank YOU to all our awesome sponsors!!! You can see a list of them here.
In addition to the goodie bags that everyone got to take home, there were enough door prizes for everyone to win at least one. Kyla had a blast picking names and handing out the door prizes throughout the afternoon.

It can be so much fun! I’ve put together some of my favorite beach free crochet patterns so we all can rock the beach this summer.

Snap! Wrap Up
Well, SNAP was nothing short of amazing! I’ve been to crochet and knit conferences and trade shows, but this was my first blogger conference. The days were jam packed with networking and classes, and the nights were full of fun. I averaged 5 hours of sleep a night, and I was still full of energy. I think I may have been running on adrenaline and endorphins (there was a LOT of chocolate involved). I didn’t take as many pics as I planned on, I was just too engrossed in everything! I did take a few, though, so I’m posting most of them here and I’ll share a bit more about the conference through the pictures.
Before I start, I need to send out a big THANK YOU to Red Heart Yarns for making this trip possible for me. Just wait to see the fun we have in store for you in July!!!
The trip started where most of my trips start:
Stitch Markers – not just for marking rounds and repeats in knit!
Many people think that stitch markers are just for marking the rounds and repeats in your knit projects, but there are so many other uses. They can also be used to mark rounds and repeats in crochet (you must use stitch markers that open or split for crochet). In addition they can be used as “pins” when planning or seaming pieces together. Let’s take a look at some of the stitch markers out there and what they are good for. If you would like more details or to purchase any of the markers, just click on the images to go to the affiliate links where you can read more.
