The Felt Holiday Star is the third pattern in my Holiday Star series, the first two being crochet and knit versions. Shine bright my crafty fam!
This embroidered messenger bag was inspired by the embroidered turtle I made last year from a Global Artisan kit. I knew I needed to make it into something for Vada, because she’s my turtle-loving child. Vada’s in middle school this year, and is getting more social. I thought of making a petite messenger bag for her because it’s a great way to show off the fun little turtle, and she’s not into purses. She loves it, and I hope you do too!
This purse lining tutorial will walk you through making a lining with two pockets and a center divider for a rectangular bag. Just grab a few supplies and take 3 measurements then you’re ready to go!
DIY napkin rings with origami paper allow you to show off your style and even celebrate the seasons and holidays. You can make these with solid or print origami paper, or any other paper. You can even decorate and color your own paper. Plus, I’ve included a tutorial to make your own fabric napkins to go with the napkin rings.
At the end of this post you will find a giveaway from Plaid for a $50 value Mod Podge assortment. It ends on November 25th, 2019, so be sure to enter before it’s over!
I wanted to make you a messenger bag sewing tutorial, but I wanted it to be a little…extra. So I added a Diamond Art creation! I’m so happy with the finished creation. You can choose any Diamond Art piece that is 8 1/2″ square or smaller, and any fabric that makes you happy for your bag.
