How To Crochet Down the Side of Your Work

Today’s step by step crochet pattern tells you what to crochet in the side of each stripe so you don’t have to worry about an uneven crochet border on the sides of your beautiful modern striped crochet blanket. Now that you know how to crochet edging like a professional, you can create an heirloom crochet afghan to be proud of for generations.

***This yarn is also available in 500 g skeins for some colors. One 500 g skein in each color will be enough to make the blanket. Below is the yarn amount needed for the 100 g skeins.

Special Stitches

• Read through all instructions before beginning.
• Stitch counts are at the end of each row after the period, if the count has changed from the previous row. {count here}
• Chs and sl sts are not included in stitch counts unless specified.
• Starting chains at beginning of rows do not count as stitches unless otherwise noted.

At this point it’s a good idea to block your piece. It should block to 47” x 54”.
