Do you want to learn to crochet? Are you trying to teach someone else how to crochet? I have some help for you. There are many useful tutorials and patterns on my site. Here I have listed and linked some of them in an order that will help to learn or teach crochet. Click on the images to go to the tutorials and patterns. There are even more helpful links to other stitches and techniques in the Stitchopedia.

This will be an ongoing list as the Stitchopedia grows.

The first thing you need to learn is how to make a slip knot and a chain stitch.

Now that you can chain, here are some patterns you can make already! Both of these patterns include a video along with the written pattern.

Now that you know the most common, basic stitches, it’s time to learn how to join them into a circle so you can crochet in the round.

Practice your crochet in the round techniques with these flat circles in sc, hdc and dc.
