Cia gets her name from the Greek goddess of the moon. With the circle in the center back of this poncho, the name seemed to fit quite well.

This Circular Poncho has been an idea in my head for months and months. I finally got around to creating it and I love it! It’s shorter in the front so you can use your arms without having to find them, and longer in the back to keep you warm and in style!

Speaking of warm, there is a ribbed turtleneck on the poncho to keep the chill away. The off-set style creates an eye-catching design in the back as well. All your friends are going to want one in their favorite colors!

And another really cool feature: this hi-low poncho is just right for a wheelchair user. Wear the short end in the back so there isn’t a pile of fabric bunched up when sitting. The long end in the front keeps your chest and lap warm. Plus, not a lot of fabric at the sides to get caught in the wheels or make your arms hard to use.

FAQs

Do I really need to block it?

At least the center 14 rounds will most likely need to be blocked so they lay flat and look nice. Especially if you crochet tight. Blocking will loosen up the fibers of the acrylic yarn so it has more movement.

  1. Wow, this is so beautiful! I love your written pattern! I am so happy you shared this one that I so want to make. I really like the neck part, I’m thinking of making mine a little larger so it wont be so tight. Thank you so much for sharing this free pattern. I have saved your page!

  2. I am getting stuck on Rnd 13. I end up with 36sets of 3dc and a ch-51. Not {48 sets of 3 dc, and one ch-3}
    Im new to crochet and this is my biggest project attempt. Any clue to what my problem is?? Thanks

  3. The chain 51 got me as we so I had to alter it a little bit, i suggest the chain 51 needs to be reduced by 2 or add 2 more or the counts won’t add up.
