Wavy crochet fun is what I have in store for you with this month’s Janet’s Garden CAL section. This part makes some slightly popped waves that I enjoyed designing. This is another section that will need a good bit of blocking. If it’s still a little wavy after blocking, don’t fret; October’s section will get it in shape and you can block again then.

Special Stitches:
Double crochet 5 together (dc5tog): Yo, insert hook into st, yo, pull through the st only (3 loops on hook), yo, pull through 2 loops (2 loops on hook), *yo, insert hook into next st, yo, pull through the st only, yo, pull through 2 loops; repeat from * 3 more times (6 loops on hook) yo, pull through all 6 loops.

Rnd 47: Join Color C in 2nd dc after any ch-2 corner sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), *5 dc in next st, [dc5tog, 5 dc in next st] across until 1 sts remains before corner ch-sp, dc in next st, ch 2, skip ch-2 sp, skip next st, dc in next st; repeat from * 2 more times, 5 dc in next st, [dc5tog, 5 dc in next st] across until 2 sts remain, dc in next st, ch 2, skip ch-2 sp, sl st in top of beginning ch-3. – {199 sts on each side}
Fasten off Color C.
Rnd 48: Join Color D in 1st st after any ch-2 corner sp, ch 3, 4 dc in same st *[dc5tog, 5 dc in next st] across to next corner ch-sp, ch 2, skip ch-2 sp, 5 dc in next st; repeat from * 2 more times, (dc5tog, 5 dc in next st) across, ch 2, sl st in top of beginning ch-3. – {203 sts on each side}
Fasten off Color D.
Rnd 49: Join Color B in any ch-2 corner sp, ch 5, 2 dc in same st, *dc in each st across to next corner ch-sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp; repeat from * 2 more times, dc in each st across, dc in first ch-2 sp, sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch-5. – {207 sts on each side}
Fasten off Color B.
Rnd 50: Join Color C in 1st dc after any ch-2 corner sp, ch 3, *5 dc in next st, [dc5tog, 5 dc in next st] across until 1 st remains before next corner, dc in last st, ch 2, skip ch-2 sp, dc in next st; repeat from * 2 more times, 5 dc in next st, [dc5tog, 5 dc in next ] across until 1 st remains, dc in last st, ch 2, sl st in top of beginning ch-3. – {211 sts on each side}
