Use the Turkish Lif Scrubby to bring some style to and clean up your kitchen. The Turkish lif stitch is fun to make and easy to learn with all the step by step photos provided with this pattern. Try using a variegated or color changing yarn such as the Cascade Yarns Paradigm Shift used in my samples. You can also change colors to create a few rounds of different colors to match your decor or even to show team spirit. Just have fun, isn’t that what crafting is all about?

Cap-ulet – a cap (beanie) to go with your Juliette shawl

| Baby & Toddler, Cascade Yarns, Children, Crochet, Free, Hat, Hats & Earwarmers, Size 3 Yarn

The Cap-ulet beanie is a v-stitch hat made to use the leftover yarn from the recent update of the Juliette continuous shawl. So now with just one cake of yarn you can have a stunning set to fancy up your get-up. You can also make more with other stash yarn. Make a whole set for the family! These hats are super cute and fun to customize with bows, flowers, or other embellishments. The sample in the pictures has a loom flower (tutorial HERE).

Juliette Shawl – perfect for spring and won’t fall off!

| Cascade Yarns, Crochet, Free, Shawls & Wraps, Size 3 Yarn

Every year I walk in the St. Patrick’s Day parade with my Girl Scout troop. This year I decided I needed a shawl. The Juliette Shawl is perfect for the coming spring, as its open stitch pattern keeps it from being too warm. The circular design keeps it from falling off, so no worries of losing my shawl somewhere on the parade route! Juliette is named after Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Guides, which became the Girl Scouts. I used 1 scrumptious Frabjous Fibers Mad Hatter Mini Skein pack to create this vision in green.

4/23/20 I’ve updated this pattern to add stitch markers and just make it easier to follow. For the new sample I used Cascade Whirligig in Reds. This pattern was originally released on 3/12/15.

Hanging Bag Holder – Reuse and Stay Organized!

| Bags & Containers, Cascade Yarns, Crochet, Free, Other Non-Wearables, Size 3 Yarn

Hanging bag holders are a great way to help the planet and stay organized. When you end up with plastic bags, keep them in your holder and reuse them when you can. It seems like no matter how much I try to avoid using plastic bags, they always sneak into my house, so this hanging bag holder is quite handy.

Candy Shawl – let the yarn do the color work

| Cascade Yarns, Free, Knit, Shawls & Wraps, Size 4 Yarn

The Candy Shawl is made side to side, and features sections of garter stitch and mesh. The only stitches used are knits, yarn overs, and increases (knit front and back). Use a color-changing yarn cake and the yarn does all the color work for you. That means you don’t have a lot of ends to weave in. This worsted weight shawl is nice and warm and great for cold days and evenings. Make it in bright colors and brighten up a cold day!
