The Ginny’s Grannies Sampler Blanket CAL will take place throughout 2020. We will be making a granny square sampler blanket in rainbow colors. The blanket has a fun layout inspired by a blanket from an old Better Homes & Gardens book my Grammy Ginny gave me. This first post will tell you all you need to understand how the CAL works and to get ready to make your blanket.

Tradition is great, but sometimes a unique granny square is just what you want. This square is made with two small traditional granny squares and two mitered squares joined together and then finished with a textured border. I designed and made this unique granny square for Allison’s Wedding Blanket CAL. I’ve posted those details below, you should really check it out, because the designers are amazing, and so is the finished blanket!

The Candy Cardi is so easy to make and can be made to nearly any size. In this pattern I explain how to make it to the size you need. The Candy Cardi is a super simple cardigan from two hexagons with no added frills. This cardigan is warm and cozy and great for a comfy day at home in the winter, or for going out and about. There are plenty of colorways of Premier Candy Shop yarn so you can make the Candy Cardi to fit your own color tastes or those of the special person you want to make one for!

This Circular Poncho has been an idea in my head for months and months. I finally got around to creating it and I love it! It’s shorter in the front so you can use your arms without having to find them, and longer in the back to keep you warm and in style! Speaking of warm, there is a ribbed turtleneck on the poncho to keep the chill away. The off-set style creates an eye-catching design in the back as well. All your friends are going to want one in their favorite colors!

This colorful and fun head scarf is quick to make! It uses a small amount of yarn, so you can make a bunch for gifts, or use up some of your leftover LB Cotton Bamboo Yarn from another project. There is no gauge listed, because it is not really a fitted item.
