Helen’s Squares – A pullover sweater named for my Great Grandmother

Helen Squares Pullover is a happy and cozy crochet pattern named after my great-grandmother. My great-grandmother was named Helen, and she taught me how to crochet, so instead of granny squares, I make Helen Squares! Ok, I actually called her Grandma Clark (her last name), but I always loved her first name. She was as beautiful as anyone named Helen should be, and she was amazing, strong, smart, and so loving. Enjoy your Helen Squares Pullover, may it bring you some of the happiness my great-grandmother brought me.

Striped Cake Scarf – a colorful, quick and easy knit!

| Free, Knit, Lion Brand Yarn, Scarves, Scarves & Cowls, Size 4 Yarn

The Striped Cake Scarf uses the color changes of cake yarn to determine when it’s time to change stitches. It’s fun and easy to make. Once you get going you won’t need the pattern, so it’s great for on-the-go knitting. This scarf is a good length and is rather wide so there are a lot of ways it can be styled. Choose a brightly colored yarn cake and bring some joy everywhere you go!

Quick Little Knit Bag – A sparkly, fun, and fabulous quickie for you!

| Bags & Containers, Free, Knit, Red Heart Yarns, Size 4 Yarn, Yarnspirations

This post may contain affiliate links. If you purchase something from one of these links I will be compensated. Thank you.

The Quick Little Knit Bag was created because I designed a Quick Little (crochet) Bag a few years ago and it is still super popular. I thought knitters deserved a fun and fabulous quick little bag as well. I played around with the yarn for a while and came up with a stitch pattern that made me happy. Unlike the original, this bag is finished off with a button and some tassels. Happy knitting!

I’ve also designed a Quick Little Tunisian Bag to be part of this set.

Want a modern knit ruff? Well, the Rainbow Ruff Cowl is my fun little mix of a Elizabethan ruff and my knit Jacob’s ladder patterns. Plus it’s rainbow, so it’s even better! This pattern starts with a long garter stitch rectangle that’s seamed together. Next stitches are dropped and looped in bunches to gather the cowl.

At the end of this pattern is a chance to win a giveaway of the yarn needed for this pattern. Giveaway ends January 1st, 2020.

The Candy Shawl is made side to side, and features sections of garter stitch and mesh. The only stitches used are knits, yarn overs, and increases (knit front and back). It takes 2 skeins of Premier Candy Shop, but you can use more or less to make a larger or smaller shawl. The yarn does all the color changes for you, so you don’t have a lot of ends to weave in. This worsted weight shawl is nice and warm and great for cold days and evenings.

All Together Now
Crochet Pattern
Intermediate Skill Level
Designed by Jessie Rayot

All Together Now is a unique wrap made in 4 sections. The sections are joined as they are made, so there is no seaming at the end. This wrap is a great way to show off color changing yarn, but it would also look great in 2-4 solid colors. Made in double crochet, this is actually a fairly simple pattern to make, the intermediate rating is just because of the joining of the pieces. Crocheted with Premier Candy Shop, the All Together Now wrap will keep you warm in style!

The pattern is a super-simple 2 row repeat, so once you get the hang of it, it’s a great project to travel with, or to just sit and make while watching TV or chatting with friends. It features rows of double crochet interspersed with rows of filet stitches which create ladders throughout the wrap. I hit a wall coming up with a name, so I asked a group of friends, and Drew Emborsky suggested Bob. I’m pretty sure he was joking, but it was the only suggestion I got, and it made me laugh, so I went with it!
