Bernat Softee Baby yarn review from Jessie At Home

Softee Baby yarn by Bernat has been one of my go-to yarns for quite a while now. I discovered how much I liked it when the girls were toddlers and I needed a yarn that was washable and not too thick. Softee Baby is 100 acrylic, and is a DK weight. It is also super soft!

Unchained Scarf

The Unchained Scarf was inspired by my Unchained Shawl; it is essentially a rectangular version of the shawl. Made with Mango Moon Twist, it is lightweight and great for a spring or summer scarf. The pattern includes directions for how to make this scarf and length and width you would like. Obviously, changing the size will change the amount of yarn you will need.

When I first saw the loom in action I was quite impressed and wanted to give it a go myself. I thought the girls would love it as well. There are actually 2 kits, one for ages 8+ and one for adults. I was lucky enough to get both so the girls and I could try them out and let you know what we thought!

Hill

Hill is named for it’s fun shape. It starts out with just 2 stitches, increases to 24, and decreases back down to 3, creating a hill. Use 3 strands of Red Heart with Love yarn and large needles to make this project super fast and super warm. This scarf can be worn in a variety of ways but every way will keep you warm and cozy!
