Big News Tomorrow

I will have big news for you tomorrow. I won’t have all the details I need until 1 pm eastern time, so you will have to wait. Clearly, I am not that good at waiting. So, check back tomorrow afternoon for some pretty pictures and to learn the reason for my butterfly laiden tummy. Making Yarn.

Last year I made a bunch of Eli hats with Carisma Loops and Thread yarn. I was organizing all my yarn that was still in boxes, and I found a bunch of little balls of the leftovers. So, I made yarn!! I cut the yarn balls into 2 to 4 yard long pieces, and then tied them back together, mixing up the colors and the sizes. I wound it onto the swift as I tied it together, then wound it into … Read more

Wednesday Round Up 9/10/14 ~ Slow Change Colors

I have fallen in love with variegated yarns with slow color changes. You know the kind that can be yards and yards of one color before it slowly transitions into the next? I love that the yarn does so much of the work for you, enabling you to make the simplest of patterns look just stunning. So, I have put together a round up of patterns using these yarns. At the end of this post I have also included a … Read more

She and I became fast friends, and we finally got to meet in person at the Knit and Crochet show this past July. Kim has become a dear friend, and someone I often look to for advice on not only crochet/design questions, but also on how to … Read more

I Like Crochet!!

As you all know by now, I’m a little behind in my plans for the summer. So far behind that the girls started school the other day and I still haven’t finished everything I was going to do over the summer. One of the things that I didn’t get to was sharing a review with you about the new online magazine I Like Crochet. So, let me get to that. *I do not receive any sort of compensation if you buy … Read more

Here is a collection of patterns made mostly of chain stitches. As a matter of fact, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9 are made entirely with chain stitches, making them great projects for a beginner who wants to complete a project after learning the chain … Read more

Fall Leaves Wrap Take 2!!

Well, after  lots of work, and lots of fun, I have finished the additions to the Fall Leaves Wrap pattern. It now has even more process photos, a chart for the leaves, and a 2 color leaf option, where the leaves are one color on one side of the vein, and another color on the other side of the vain. I even made a sample of the 2 color leaf version. The original is made with Berroco Remix yarn, and the 2 … Read more
