Today I will walk you though all the steps in my easy to follow braid cable video, with written instructions and even a braid cable chart. So lets get started and blast your skill level to new heights! Braid cable awayyyyyy!

Stitchopedia Braid Cable from Jessie At Home

Written instructions:
Abbreviations:
bpdc – back post double crochet
ch(s) – chain(s)
fpdc – front post double crochet
fptr – front post treble crochet
hdc – half double crochet
st(s) – stitch(es)

Pattern:
Row 1: Ch 14, dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped chs count as dc) and each remaining ch. – {12 dc}
Row 2: Turn, ch 2 (counts as first hdc here and throughout), hdc in next 2 sts, skip 2 sts, fptr around next 2 sts, fptr around 2 skipped sts working behind previous 2 sts, fpdc around next 2 sts, hdc in last 3 sts.
Rows 3-5 odd: Turn, ch 2, hdc in next 2 sts, bpdc around next 6 sts, hdc in last 3 sts.
Row 4: Turn, ch 2, hdc in next 2 sts, fpdc around next 2 sts, skip 2 sts, fptr around next 2 sts, fptr around 2 skipped sts working in front of 2 previous sts, hdc in last 3 sts.
Repeat rows 2-5 for pattern.
