One year I made scarves for everyone on my Christmas list. Many of them still wear those scarves, and often tell me how much they love them. I love it so much when something I made is useful and enjoyed by the recipient! So, this week I have collected scarf patterns so you, too, can spread love and warmth!
Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little something that each designer has to say about them.
Last year I came up with a series of patterns that I used for most of the Holiday gifts we gave. It ended up being a series of 6 patterns. A hat, a scarf, and a cowl, each in worsted weight yarn and chunky yarn. With either weight, you hold 2 strands together as 1 when making the items, and use a large hook, so they work up super quick! I often have people ask about these patterns, and it becomes a bit of a pain to copy all 6 links to all 6 patterns every time. So, I have listed all 6 patterns here. Skylark is not your typical scarf. It is made at an angle, a little off kilter, and a little wider than most scarves, making it a cross between a scarf and a wrap. There is a diagonal stripe of contrasting color every several rows. Skylark is sure to get attention wherever you go!
Scoodies are just fun!! What’s a scoodie? It’s a scarf and a hood, all as one piece. I love that you don’t get that draft on the back of your neck from the space between your hat and your scarf, and they keep your ears warm, too! Fun and functional, what’s not to love?!
