Hello!! Did you enjoy the last CAL/KAL? I have another fun one planned, but for now, let’s take a week.
I’ll introduce you to the new CAL and KAL next week. They will be separate but related. The CAL will run every other week, and the KAL will run on the opposite weeks. So one week CAL, next week KAL, and repeat. Each week will be a a full pattern. You can make them all or just one or any number in between. They will actually be mystery crochet and knit alongs! But
Over the past year or so I have done my best to keep politics off my blog. Today, I am so happy that I have to break that rule. Though honestly, I don’t see it as politics as much as I see it as celebrating the fact that EVERY American now has the right to LOVE.
Today is a day I will never forget. I just had a conversation with my daughters explaining why today is so important. They were so happy to know that every person in the USA now has the right to marry the person they love, and to have all the rights that come with that marriage. I did my best to explain some of those rights in terms that almost~8~year~olds could understand. Things like hospital visitation/medical decisions and family healthcare.
Today, everything else seems so small and insignificant. Today is a celebration of love. Today is beautiful. Today is important. Today, love wins.

Mommy and Me Infinite Twilight Cowls

The Infinite Twilight pattern is one pattern that works up in two sizes, depending on the yarn or hook you use. Using Red Heart Boutique Twilight and an N hook will create an adult size cowl, and using Red Heart Boutique Infinity and a J hook will create a child size cowl (you can actually get 3 child cowls from one skein!) Both cowls are plush and warm and make for great Mommy and Me photo ops!

I came up with an idea for a CAL/KAL that will work even for those of you who are in and out all summer, and that I will be able to make work even with my crazy summer schedule. This crochet bread basket is a fun way to dress up your everyday dinner rolls, or to show off that pretty braided bread you picked up at the corner deli. Be sure to use a washable yarn that is not too fuzzy so you can clean your bread basket as needed and so it doesn’t leave fuzz in your bread. You can also add a fabric or paper towel liner in your basket and serve chips or various other items out of it. You could even fill it up with wrapped candies!

The All Chained Up infinity scarf has alternating solid sections and loose chain sections. This makes it so easy to wrap and gives it wonderful texture and many styling options. It is worked in the round, starting in the center with one color and working to the outer edge, then the other color is joined to the center and worked in the round to the outer edge. This piece is sure to turn heads!
