Cleo Scarf Free Knit Pattern by Jessie At Home - 1

Cleo Scarf

The Cleo scarf features my knit Jacob’s Ladder technique that is so popular. The ladder runs up the center of the scarf creating a spine.

Looped in Love skirt

The Looped in Love Skirt was inspired by my Dragon Wing Scarf. I love the way the increases work within the Jacob’s Ladder Stitch, and it just screamed “make me a flared skirt!!” I learned a long time ago, when a yarn or stitch pattern talks to me, it’s in my best interest to listen. So here it is, a fun skirt for all ages that flares between vertical sections of looped stitches. It’s made from the top down, so it can be made to any length that suits your fancy. The longer the skirt, the more yarn it will take.

Crochet Dragon Wing Style Scarf

I have had so many requests for a crochet version of the Dragon Wing Cowl, that I just had to oblige! So here it is: the Dragon Wing Scarf. It is a bit longer and more flowy than the knit counterpart, and I really like it! There are notes on how to make it shorter if you want to button it as a cowl, but I really like the scarf. The Crystal Palace Panda Pearl yarn is perfect for this fashionable accessory. It’s so very soft and luscious!

Jacob's Ladder Crochet Pattern Round Up from Jessie At Home

I LOVE the look of the Jacob’s Ladder technique, don’t you? It adds great texture, and it makes a really neat “jumping” effect when worked with color changes on each round or row. I love it so much that I made a tutorial with lots of pictures, a practice piece, and even a video! You can find the tutorial here. There are so many things you can do with this technique, and here is a collection of some patterns.

Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little something that each designer has to say about them.

Tamara's Kismet Square Free Crochet Pattern by Jessie At Home

Tamara’s Kismet Square

Tamara’s Kismet Square uses the traditional Jacob’s Ladder stitch in the center, and is bordered by the Jacob’s ladder stitch flipped on its side. This creates a lot of fun texture and a really nifty~looking square, if I do say so myself. 😉 The idea for turning the Jacob’s ladder stitch on its side came from this awesome pattern. The square can be used in blankets, pillow covers, as wall art, or in some other way you can imagine. You can even make a quick baby blanket with 6 of these squares and a border, it works for boys or girls. Just have fun with it!
