Did you know that the CGOA is hosting a CAL throughout the spring? It’s 8 parts, and each part runs for 2 weeks. They just started the second part, but I’m still on the first. No worries about jumping in late, it doesn’t really take 2 weeks for each part, I’ve just been super busy. You can read all about the CAL HERE.
The pattern is the Across the Board afghan, which is made in strips. Each strip is designed by a different CGOA Board member. If you’re like me and don’t want to make an afghan, you can get creative with each strip. You can see my progress so far in the photo at the top of this post. I’m making a beach bag to match my Nettie’s Super Simple Cover Up using the first strip pattern. I still have to finish the back and make the sides/bottom strip, and the straps.
There is a great community and lots of fun happening over in the Facebook group created for the CAL. Come join in the fun HERE!!!! If you want to chat about the CAL on Ravelry, there is a discussion for that HERE.
I hope you join in the fun; I look forward to seeing what you’ve created.
