Chevrons & Ripples Free Crochet Pattern Round Up from Jessie At HomePin

One of the first stitch patterns I learned was the chevron. It is a classic. I have even shared an amusing story with you about a chevron blanket I made in undergrad. As crochet has grown, the chevron has been adapted in many ways. It has been rounded out to make ripples or waves, it has graced clothing, bags, and so much more than just blankets. I have compiled some great chevron & ripple patterns to showcase its many uses!

Here are the names and links of each pattern, along with a little something that each designer has to say about them.

1) Graphic Chevron Clutch ~ designed by Fiber Flux
This cute clutch is all about fun. Bright, bold, stripy chevrons liven up this clutch which can be used as a purse, a pencil case, or even to tuck your hooks into!

2) GRANNY RIPPLE BABY AFGHAN ~ designed by The Stitchin’ Mommy
I wanted to do a ripple because I am just in love with them but instead I decided to make a granny ripple with a random pattern.

3) Chevron Lace Fingerless Mitts ~ designed by Moogly
One of my first patterns on Moogly was the Chevron Lace Wrap – and I’m delighted to see that people are still making it! Chevrons are here to stay! And recently I got a request for matching crochet fingerless gloves – and I thought that was a great idea!

4) Extended Ripple ~ designed by Jessie At Home
This ripple pattern adds a lacey look to the classic ripple. This pattern can be used with just about any size yarn and the coordinating hook.

5) Rippling Waves Bottle Bag ~ designed by Trifles N Treasures
Here is my newest design~The Rippling Waves Bottle Bag! It’s very fast and fun to work up, and very easy to make, too! Make them in several colors, for the whole family! They will fit most standard size 16 oz, 20 oz, or even 24 oz bottles 🙂

6) V-Stitch Crochet Ripple Afghan Pattern ~ designed by Petals to Pecots
It’s afghan season so of course I wanted to get stitchin’ on something cozy for curling up with on these chilly Autumn evenings! I decided to put a contemporary twist on an old classic with this ripple afghan pattern. Here I used V-stitches to created a more lacy, open design to the traditional ripple.

7) Triple Ripple Chevron Throw ~ designed by Posh Pooch Designs
I chose to use Triple Crochet because I wanted the throw to be light and airy, not heavy.

8) Winter Waves Chevron Cowl in Toddler Size ~ designed by Cre8tion Crochet
This adorable free chevron cowl crochet pattern was inspired by the adult Winter Waves Chevron Cowl. The matching semi slouch hat in sizes; baby, child, toddler and adult, can be found HERE.

9) Splendiferous Senses ~ designed by of Grammy’s Heart, with Love
