A table runner for the holidays? Which holiday? With this table runner you can change the colors for any holiday of your choice, or just to match your décor. This slip stitch table runner is worked lengthwise with a new yarn used for every row. All the ends are then used to create fringe for the ends of the runner that hang off the table. The slip stitches add a nice design, and a little texture. This table runner is a great way to get in the holiday spirit.

Getting Started:
Pay attention to the right side (RS) and wrong side (WS) instructions. For the stockinette section of the runner, all rows are worked from the right side, meaning each row is worked from the same side. To do this, do not turn work at the end of the row, just go back to the beginning and start there.
Each row is started with a new piece of yarn, leave an 8-10 inch tail at the start of the row, and then cut an 8-10 inch tail at the end of the row. The tails will tied and cut even as fringe at the end.

Lovely
Lovely but can’t print the pattern without some blank ad block obscuring much of the pattern. Please adjust or why even provide the pattern?

Is it straightforward to make a small squarish version, casting on the minimum number of stitches? Four knitted stitches plus slip the fifth at the beginning of each right side row and ending with slip one, knit the remaining four The wrong sides should be similar and easy to see and work out. The patterning stitches in brackets (…) seem straightforward.
Thank you.
