Janet’s Garden CAL Month One

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a commission if you make a purchase using these links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

The Janet’s Garden CAL will take place throughout 2019. We will be making an elegant square blanket. The blanket will utilize many stitches, giving you a chance to increase your crochet knowledge while creating a beautiful work. This first post will tell you all you need to understand how the CAL works and to get ready to make your blanket.

Yarn support for the Janet’s Garden CAL was provided by Kraemer Yarns. You can find Kraemer’s at the following links: Website, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram. I also highly recommend signing up for their newsletter so you can stay on top of what’s new at Kraemer and be entered in the monthly drawing for a $100 yarn jackpot.

PLUS – Kraemer has given us a coupon code that is worth 20% off your entire order, with one use per customer. So check out the supply list later in this post and put all the yarn you need in your cart on the Kraemer site, along with any other Kraemer yarn you would like, then use the following code when you check out:
Yarn20

So, would you like to know how this all works?

The Janet’s Garden CAL is a mystery crochet along. I have posted some sneak peek pictures in this post, but you will have to wait until the end to see exactly what it will look like.

There will be a post here at Jessie At Home on the 3rd Thursday of every month. The January post (this one) will include the supply list for the blanket so you can prepare. The February through November posts will start with any notes or useful links for that month, and the next portion of the pattern. The December post will show off some of the blankets you have made. I’ll find these pictures through your Ravelry project pages, so be sure to add your projects to Ravelry and link them to my Ravelry listing.

The pattern will be free here at Jessie At Home. If you would like to get an ad-free printable PDF, you can purchase that through Ravelry. At the end of the CAL it will also be available from Etsy. The Ravelry PDF will start off with just the supply list. As each portion of the pattern is added here, the PDF will be updated. All you will have to do is go to your Ravelry library and update your PDF. Each portion will start on a new page so you can just print the new part.

  1. Jessie, did anyone else run out of yarn in the Janet’s Garden Throw CAL? I am running out of the Royal Purple and will probably not have enough for the rows of rose flowers. I am curious of the other colors I have left if I might run out of them also. This is such a pretty throw and may need to order more yarn. I was wondering if there was a discount code I can use if I reorder. Please help!
