Katherine Hood, take 2

I am determined to finish the Katherine coat and pattern this week and start testing it! It has been in the same state as it was when I wore it to the Knit and Crochet show for over a month!

The hood was a bit too long. It was very fun, but it just wouldn’t stay on, so I frogged it. See, here is the hood:

It didn’t stay that way for long. I rewrote the pattern so that it was only half as long (still down to the waist) and got to knitting! Kyla was helping me with it on Saturday night.

Oh, and about Kyla…Doug walked the girls to school on Veterans Day. His school district had off, but ours did not. On the way, Kyla tripped over his foot and smacked her head on the sidewalk rather hard. She had quite the bump! It is almost gone now, but the bruise is falling as it heals, so now she has little green spots on the inside of her eyes.

While she was helping me with hood, she decided it was time to ham it up for some photos.

I have a few patterns to get written up for you. They are a hat in 2 strands of chunky yarn, and another similar hat in 2 strands of worsted weight. Also corresponding scarves or cowls. They work up very quickly (around an hour) and are great for gifts! I would like to have these patterns up this and next week. However I also have a few other deadlines, so we will see.
