The Kimberly Wrap is a long thin wrap that can double as a wide scarf. It can be styled in a variety of ways for whatever look you like. It’s easy to make and shows off the fun of a variegated yarn. You can easily make this wrap shorter and wider for a more traditional size wrap, or thinner and even longer for a more traditional size scarf.

Miss Babs Hot Shot: (80% Merino, 20% Nylon), size #1 (fingering), 400 yds (366 m), 114 g (4.02 oz) per skein

Funny Papers (color) – MC: 840 yds, 230 g used in pattern

US F/5 (3.75 mm) hook (or size needed to match gauge)

Kimberly Pattern
Wrap
Row 1: Fdc 440 (or ch 442, dc in 4th ch from hook and each remaining ch).
Row 2: Turn, ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), skip 1, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st, *skip 2, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st; repeat from * until 2 sts remain, skip 1, dc in last st.
Row 3: Turn, ch 3, (dc, ch 1, dc) in each ch-1 sp across, dc in last st.
Repeat Row 3 until piece measures 9.5″
Last Row: Ch 3, dc in each st across.
Finishing
- Fasten off
- Weave in ends.

Customizations
Add or subtract a multiple of 3 fdc to Row 1 to make the wrap longer or shorter.
Repeat Row 3 until piece measures ½” thinner than desired width, then move on to Last Row.
Add 1 or more rows of dc in each st after Row 1 and after Last Row.
Use one color for the dc rows (borders), and another for the V-stitch rows.
Make stripes by changing colors every row or in some other pattern.
