Who loves Moogly? Everyone!!! This week’s round up featured patterns designed by Tamara Kelly of Moogly. Tamara is a superb designer, a brilliant business woman, and a very dear friend of mine. Most of Tamara’s patterns are free crochet patterns, but she also has knitting patterns and some sale patterns. I have included a mix of them all in this round up. In addition to the patterns and other wonderful content on Moogly, such as video tutorials, giveaways, and product review, Tamara also has 2 Craftsy classes, and patterns published in some online magazines. I’m sure we will see Tamara showing up in even more places across the yarnie universe!
Here are the names and links of each pattern seen in the round up photo. At the end of the list, I have included more goodies for you!!
1) Sven Sweater
This sweater is definitely for boys. And for girls! It’s all in the colors. The pattern was inspired by a blanket I saw at a Swedish furnishings store over the summer – it was bold and graphic and had a great look. One that begged to be translated to crochet!
2) Mod Stripes Rice Bag
Microwavable rice bags are a great way to soothe sore muscles. Crochet your own in bright colors to boost your spirits today.
3) Shark Time Pouch
This pattern is sized just right for pencils, markers, or whatever you need to get through your own Shark Week.
4) Sweet Striped Arm Warmers
This pattern should fit most children aged 8 to 12 (with a loose fit on the 8 year old, and a slim fit on the 12 year old, of course).
5) Leaping Stripes and Blocks Blanket
The Leaping Stripes and Blocks Blankets that I made up are preemie sized, to fit our new arrivals – about 20″ x 20″. This is also the perfect size for adding an amigurumi head to make a sweet crochet lovie! If you like the pattern but want it bigger, I’ve included sizing information for making a standard baby blanket, afghan, twin, queen size, and kind/Cal king blanket as well!
6) Moogly Crochet Alphabet
The Moogly Crochet Alphabet has been a labor of love! So many letters, some easy, some a challenge, but all fun!
7) Bobble Poof Earflap Hat
The Bobble Poof Crochet Earflap Hat has a whole lot going on, and it adds up to a fun toque for both kids and adults!
8) Happy Handle Coffee Cozy
This cozy is great to gift to anyone who loves a beverage to go… including yourself! It’s quick to whip up and fun to use and give.
9) Branching Out Shawlette
I’ve been wanting to design a simple, half circular shawlette for a long time, and at long last the right yarn and the right pattern came together, and the Branching Out Shawlette is the happy result!
