Origami Money Packet – great for gifts!

Thinking of giving a gift of money? Why not give it in this origami money packet? You can make several and put different bills in each one, or just make one. They fit nicely inside a card as well. This pattern works nicely with paper that is a different color on each side.

To start your origami money packet, fold your paper diagonally and then unfold.

Repeat on the other diagonal so you paper looks like the one below.

Now fold one corner just past the center line, as pictured.

Fold the tip of the same corner back along the center line.

Fold the next corner just past the center line.

Fold the tip of the same corner back at the center line.

Repeat this process with the two remaining corners.

*This is a good point to slip your money in.

Now tuck the side of the last corner folder underneath the side of the first corner folded.
