There are a couple reasons for this post title. First of all ~ the rain. It rained Saturday night and all day Sunday. Doug’s school is right by a rather large river. He went to work on Monday, as all the smaller rivers were slowly draining the excess rain water into the large river by his school. Eventually, it was too much water and the town started to flood. He has been off the rest of the week. The girls have really enjoyed having him around.
I took advantage of having Doug here to keep an eye on the girls and got some sewing done. I was able to finish a commission I had for a blue Medieval dress. It is in the mail on the way to Maryland right now. I just love the new “one price to ship anywhere” boxes the post Office has now. It makes estimating shipping so much easier!
I should really be going, Doug and the girls and I are going to take a walk to the park in a bit. The weather has been so nice, we’ve been going a lot lately.
