Learn to knit the linen stitch, also called the fabric stitch, in rows or rounds. I have written out the stitch pattern with process photos, and included a video.
This video will show you the linen stitch worked in rows, and explain how to knit the linen stitch in rounds as well.
Written instructions with photos:

k – knit
m1l – make one left (leans towards the left)
m1r – make one right (leans towards the right)
p – purl
[ ] – work step in brackets number of times indicated
Pattern in rows:
Co an even number
Row 1: [Slip 1 purl wise with yarn in front, k1] across.
Row 2: [Slip 1 purl wise with yarn in back, p1] across.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 to desired length.

Thank you for sharing this stitch. How would i work increases?
The best way is to increase 2 stitches at a time so you don’t interrupt the pattern. You can see it done in this pattern: https://www.jessieathome.com/pattern/moonstruck-cowl/
