Learn to make the treble crochet and the double treble crochet, plus an explanation of taller stitches. The sample used in this post is made with a US J/10, 6.0mm crochet hook, and Red Heart with Love yarn in Lettuce.

Abbreviations:
dtr – double treble crochet
tr – treble crochet
yo – yarn over

Treble crochet: Yo 2 times, insert hook into designated stitch, yo, pull through stitch (4 loops on hook), (yo, pull through 2 loops) 3 times.

Double treble crochet: Yo 3 times, insert hook into designated stitch, yo, pull through stitch (5 loops on hook), (yo, pull through 2 loops) 4 times.

    • I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you are asking. If you want to make a double treble you just yarn over one more time then you do for a treble, and there is one more yo and pull though.
