The girls and I went on a little adventure yesterday afternoon.
Doug was working on reading to children with his public speaking class. They wanted a practice audience before some of them got to go over to the elementary school to read to a whole class full of little ones.
So off to high school we went!
Vada was quite excited about being a “school person.”
When the class started, Doug asked who wanted to read first. Vada immediately popped up and said “I!” The class was so quite while she read too them. It was rather adorable, even if not exactly the way the reading was supposed to be working.
Once she got that out of her system, she enjoyed listening with the rest of the class as the other students read some really great kid’s books.
Kyla was a little distracted for much of the time, but she most definitely enjoyed herself. She even managed to pay attention to a few of the stories.
The girls had a great time, and the students seemed to enjoy themselves as well.
On the way home we stopped and grabbed some ice cream cones. Talk about a fun day!
