This granny inspired creation starts out with a circle, then transitions into a triangle. Make it all one color, or up to 6 different colors. Change up the colors for different seasons. You can use the triangles just as is for various uses, or string them together to make bunting. In honor of Crochetville’s slip stitch event ~ Summer is Slipping Away, I have included instructions on how to make the bunting with a wider ribbon~like string, which is made using slip stitch crochet. Hello my friends! Do you remember how far I had gotten on the Katherine Coat over the spring/summer? Well, here she is now:
That’s right, I frogged the whole coat. It had to be done. I took a couple of weeks and re~wrote the entire pattern, I did warn you I was going to do that. I am much happier now. I was not impressed with the boxy look of the coat on the first go around, and I want to provide you with the best possible patterns.
It was a rough night last night. Vada was coughing all night, and Kyla woke us up (OK, only me as Doug didn’t hear her) at 3am, crying with growing pains.
Due to the impending doom of Nemo *I dare you to read that without a chuckle* the district had called today as a half day for school. So, with the utter lack of sleep we all had, I decided it was time to take a day.
This Large Flat Flower has oh~so~many uses. It can be used as is as a coaster, for bunting, as an applique, or any way you can imagine. It can also be used to start the center of other projects. I’m sure you will see it used in many upcoming patterns of mine!

This past Sunday was one of my Fiber Arts days at InsaniTea. While there I had to take a snap of the back of Travis’s laptop. It just always makes me giggle, it has so much personality.
Yup, chaos. Kind of explains a lot going on right now. I seem to have a decent routine on school mornings up unit I get home from taking the girls to school. Then it’s just a bit, well, chaotic. I’m working on getting into a routine during the school days. It seems like there is just more to do then time in the day. Market some days, laundry others, cleaning (always cleaning), organizing all the stuff in the basement, garage, spare room (which will one day be Kyla’s room), working on my designs/patterns, and, of course, spending time with you, my blogland friends. I know I can.
It was an interesting weekend here. Doug got home a little early on Saturday, so he and the girls spent some quality time together. Doug bought some new Dinosaur Train figures for the girls, and much fun was had by the three of them. Apparently there was a carnivore convention.
