Spool Knit Fun and Other Goodies
I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and that your week is turning out well. We’ve had some fun here. I used one of my new~to~me tea pots for the first time. It was an Earl Gray kind of day.
On Sunday the girls and I decided it was time for a spool knitting tea party. They had received spool knitting kits from my parents (who are now stationed in Sicily) for Christmas, and with the plague we had going around, I hadn’t had a chance to teach them yet.
What’s up, Buttercup?
Just a quick update for you all before I call it a night. It has been a LONG day!
I had a nice Sunday at InsaniTea. I have been trying to kick this virus/bug/thing that I got from the girls, so I asked Ingrid to make me up some of her special tea mix to take home. Even the name makes me feel better!
Some knit tests and a finished project
Well I am testing a few patterns now. The deadline for both is February 24th. As always, I am running the tests on Ravelry.
First is a project I have been showing you sneaks of for a while now:
This is the Wendy skirt. The pattern is for child small all the way to adult 5X. This one is a child small, made for Vada for Christmas. I have another in the works for Kyla. Sorry it is model~less, but I didn’t want to spoil the surprise!
How is it after 4 already?
Ever have one of those days? I can look back and see I did a lot, but I still feel like I got nothing done. I want to have everything I have already made posted in my Etsy shop, I want to release my next pattern (it just needs a few photos added in, and the cover page finished), I want to finish the small pile of sale items I have that need to be finished, and I want to get all that into my stop as well. I want to do all this by this weekend, when I will be spending Sunday at a friend’s studio selling items there.
Yet so far today I have gotten none of that done. At least yesterday I made a case for my patterns.
Ooops, forgot to title this one!
Celebrate cyber week, and extend small business Saturday by shopping at my on line stores! *plus, I could use some help with the bills ;^)* Use coupon code “Holiday” to receive 15% off your entire order in my Etsy store. ALSO: all patterns in my Craftsy and Ravelry stores will be marked down 20%, there is no way to make coupons for those two sites, so I have changed the prices for the patterns for the course of the sale. This sale will run through New Year’s Day. That way you can take advantage of the sale for Holiday gifts, or you can buy yourself goodies with your Holiday money.
There are lots of new goodies at JessieAtHome.com. There will be more coming in the next few days as well.
Not quite what I wanted, but it will work
I started writing a wrap pattern at the beginning of October. It was beautiful in my head. Somewhere in the initial planning/math stages, something went awry. I think I tried to do too much. The pretty little picture was much more simple then what happened as I started writing.
So, in the end, I had something much more
