This Large Flat Flower has oh~so~many uses. It can be used as is as a coaster, for bunting, as an applique, or any way you can imagine. It can also be used to start the center of other projects. I’m sure you will see it used in many upcoming patterns of mine!
Bloom is a slightly loose fitting crochet hat pattern with a tie string that tightens it to fit and create a blooming flower.

So here it is, a rather late reveal for the flower to hexagon blanket. I finished just after Christmas. If you remember, I first started planning this blanket back in the middle of September. I even made a tutorial for you. Two and a half months after starting,
In my search for a hexagon granny to make blankets for my girls, I just couldn’t find one that I really LOVED. Then I realized that there were some gorgeous crocheted flowers with six sides, and I could make a hexagon granny from one of those. So this pattern was born.
Thought I would update you on my progress with the blankets. I had started by making the hexes without the last round. It started getting a bit monotonous. A stack of hexes is pretty and all, but by no means is it very blankety. I started to think, “what’s the use of the join-as-you-go method, if you don’t join AS you go, but wait ’til the end?” So I started connecting hexes. It was so satisfying.
I do so adore seeing all those hexes lovingly snuggled up to each other.
