I bought some beautiful yarn at Rhinebeck Sheep & Wool festival this year, and one of those yarns inspired this pattern. When you have beautiful yarn, you don’t need a lot going on in your pattern. This linen stitch cowl has a small amount of shaping around the bottom half to form to your shoulders and keep you nice and warm!

This long, skinny cowl can be worn a multiple of ways. The fun stitch pattern is easy to memorize, and creates wonderful texture. It can be made with 2 coordinating skeins of Lion Brand Crepe yarn, and with more yarn, it can easily be made wider.

This pattern was named by my friend Jan, one of my fellow admins (the head admin, actually) of the Knitting Facebook group. Thanks Jan!!

Bolster Pillow Cover – Free Knit Pattern

Bolster Pillow Cover Knit Pattern Intermediate Skill Level Designed by Jessie Rayot This bolster cover reminds me of a wrapped candy. I made it for Kyla’s Pink Princess room and she just loves her “Candy Pillow”. The main part is made with a seeded rib stitch, joined into a tube by grafting or seaming, and the ends are then picked up and worked in the round. The ends tie shut giving the whole piece a look of wrapped candy, and … Read more
