Ombre free crochet pattern round up by Jessie At Home

Ombre Crochet – such a pretty way to show off color!

Ombre is a great way to show off your favorite color. Sometime ombre crochet takes advantage of a long color change yarn, and sometimes various yarns in tints and shades of the same color are used to create an ombre. Here are 7 free crochet patterns that utilize ombres.

Fun fact – ombres show off tints and shades. A tint of a color is when the color is mixed with white, and a shade is when the color is mixed with black. So basically, an ombre will go from a light tint to the actual color to a dark shade.

Mr. Cuddles – a soft, fluffy and cozy couch throw

As soon as I touched Red Heart Hygge yarn I wanted to be wrapped in it! It’s just so incredibly soft and comforting. So of course I made a couch blanket out of it. Mr.Cuddles is part of the Hygge Home CAL (more details below), so I wanted it to be finishable it a week. In the “getting started” section I’ve included instructions on how to make the blanket larger. Mr. Cuddles is great for one, but if you want to get cuddly with a loved one, you can get more yarn and make him big enough for two! Enjoy the pattern and stay warm and cozy!
