Getting Started:
This pattern uses a smaller hook then usual for the yarn to make a tight st so the Poly-Fil stays in the doll.
For head and arms the pattern is worked in a spiral, so there is no sl st to join at the end of each Round, try using a removable st marker to mark the start of each Round
Work the first round of each section over top of starting tail, then pull the tail tight before weaving in so there is no hole.

Pattern:
Head and Body:

Finishing:
Finish stuffing body firmly.
Cut plastic canvas to 1/8″ smaller than the bottom circle. Place the plastic canvas on the bottom of the body and cover with the bottom circle. Sew the bottom circle to the bottom of the body.
Stuff the arms. Fold the opening flat and sew them onto the sides of the body, matching the colors (onto Rnd 26).

Hair:
Cut threads from the Bag ‘O Bits to 13″ long. Attach hair by folding a piece of thread in half, then insert hook from top to bottom around a st, grab the fold of the thread and pull it through the stitch, then pull the ends of the thread through the fold and pull tight. For shorter hair (such as the bangs) pull just one end of the thread through, even out the ends, and tie an overhand knot against the st.

  1. She is a cutie, some what like the Japanese kokeshi dolls with simple body shape and colorful stripes but much softer.
