The Origami Square Base is the start of various Origami Patterns and also the start of the Frog and Bird Bases. You will find the written and pictorial pattern for the Square Base below.
Origami has been one of my hobbies since I was 8 years old. Many Origami Patterns start with an Origami Base: a folded form that starts a piece. This is one such base. You can find more Origami Base Tutorials for here: https://jessieathome.com/category/crafts/origami/origami-base/
Be sure to crease well after each fold.
To begin the origami square base pattern, fold your square paper diagonally, crease, and unfold.
Repeat last step on other diagonal.
Flip paper over.
Fold in half edge to edge, crease, and unfold.
Repeat last step in other direction.
Grab 2 opposite corners and pull them to the center to collapse piece into a smaller square.
