These sweet little Criss Cross Baby Booties are a super simple pattern that uses only cast on, bind off, and knit stitches.
Toss in one color change for an attractive accent and seam the booties together. Easy Peasy! This pattern includes five sizes from newborn to 24 months. These booties are so quick and easy to make that you can whip up several pair and keep them for when you need a quick baby gift!

Supplies
Size (in month)
0-3 (3-6, 6-12, 12-18, 18-24)
Yarn
Lion Brand Heartland: (100% Acrylic), Size 4 (10 wpi, worsted weight), 251 yds / 142 g (yds/g = 1.77)
Color A: 35 (50, 60, 70, 80) yds / 25 (30, 35, 40, 45) g
Color B: 9 yds / 5 g
Needles
5.5mm (US 9)
Gauge: Learn about gauge HERE
18 sts x 32 rows = 4” [10 cm] in garter stitch
Other supplies
yarn needle

bo – bind off
co – cast on
k – knit
st(s) – stitch(es)
Getting Started
- Read through all instructions before beginning
- Row counts are at the end of each Row after the period, if the count has changed from the previous Row. {count here}
Criss Cross Baby Booties Pattern
With Color B, co 39 (44, 49, 56, 61)
Rows 1-3: K all. {39 (44, 49, 56, 61) sts}
Row 4: With Color A, k all.
Repeat Row 4: 6 (8, 10, 12, 14) more times.
There will now be a total of 10 (12, 14, 16, 18) rows.
Decrease and Sole
Row 1: Bo 16 (18, 20, 23, 25) sts (there will be 1 st on right needle and 22 (25, 28, 32, 35) sts on left needle), k to end. {23 (26, 29, 33, 36) sts on needle}
Row 2: Bo 16 (18, 20, 23, 25) sts (there will be 1 st on right needle and 6 (7, 8, 9, 10)sts on left needle), k to end. {7 (8, 9, 10, 11) sts on needle}
Row 3: K all.
Repeat Row 3 twenty-seven (31, 35, 39, 43) more times.
Piece will measure 5 (5.75, 6.5, 7.25, 8) inches from co to needle.
Bind off all sts then move onto finishing.
Finishing
- Fold B1’s together, A’s together and B2’s together.
- Use Color A and yarn needle to sew B1’s together, A’s together and B2’s together.
