The Cozy Spirit CAL will take place over six weeks, starting with this intro, and then continuing with 3 parts of the pattern every other week. Knit Pal yarn can be ordered in your collegiate colors so you can show your spirit anywhere you go! I used my kids’ school colors. Even in cold NJ fall and winters, I’ll be showing my school spirit when I cheer them on in whatever they do!

The yarn for this design was provided by Knit Pal. All opinions are my own.

Knit Pal is a wonderful way to get hand-dyed yarn and do good at the same time. Knit Pal is involved with various charities, they use only bio-degradable yarn, and they source their supplies in a conscientious way. You can learn more in their About section.

You can order fingering, DK, worsted, or bulky yarn in sets of 2-5 skeins in the colors of your collegiate sports team. Knit Pal has already done the work of color matching many popular teams, but if you don’t see yours, you can still place a custom order and Knit Pal will match your colors.

As Doug and I are long out of school, and Kyla and Vada still have several years to go, I went with the colors of our middle and high school for my Cozy Spirit CAL creation. We only have one middle and one high school in town, so they have the same colors and mascot, which made my choice easy. I looked through the collage team colors on the Knit Pal site and found the maroon from one team and the gray from another to match our school colors.

Today I’m sharing the supply list for the CAL so you can place your yarn order and prepare for the CAL. Your yarn may need to be dyed and then sent out to you. If too many others get their orders in first and your yarn doesn’t get dyed and sent out to you before the first day of the CAL, it’s all good. Just join in once your yarn comes in.

Share pictures and chat in my Facebook group to keep the fun going! Also, don’t forget to start a project page on Ravelry and link the CAL Pattern listing.

Are you wondering what Cozy Spirit is? Well, for now I’ll tell you it will keep you warm and it’s similar to a common outerwear item, but better.
