Cozy Spirit CAL Part 1 – Let’s Get Started!!

It’s time for the Cozy Spirit CAL Part 1, and we are going to start our cozy scarf with a bonus feature to keep you extra warm on cold game nights. The bonus feature doesn’t happen until week 3, and you’re going to love it. This week we will make half the scarf. Don’t be an overachiever, the second half isn’t the same, so you’ll have to wait 2 weeks.

Special Stitches

st2sc – stack 2 single crochet – Counts as a dc: Insert hook into indicated st or sp, yo, pull through (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through both loops (sc just made), insert hook in left vertical loop of sc just made, yo, pull through (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through both loops. (This technique can be seen in THIS post, listed as the chainless row turn for hdc, don’t worry, it’s right for dc!)

Row 1: With Color A, fdc 29.

Row 2: With Color B, turn, st2sc (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc to end. {29 sts}
Row 3: Repeat Row 2.
Rows 4 – 7: With Color A repeat Row 2.
Rows 8 & 9: With Color B repeat Row 2.
Rows 10 – 15: With Color A repeat Row 2.
Rows 16 & 17: With Color B repeat Row 2.
Rows 18 – 25: With Color A repeat Row 2.
Rows 26 & 27: With Color B repeat Row 2.
Rows 28 & 29: With Color A repeat Row 2.
