Elephants are my favorite animal. I find them quite beautiful and just the personification of peace and grace. I love elephants in art (especially in Indian art!) and they are super cute and fun in crochet as well! Plus, elephants are often seen as lucky, and we are approaching St. Patrick’s Day. So I thought this evening I would share 7 free crochet patterns that feature elephants!
Here are the names and links of each pattern.
1) Ella the Elephant Lovey by Moogly
“Ella the Elephant Lovey is cute, cuddly, and loves spinning in circles! The perfect gift for any baby, they’ll never forget how cute this free crochet pattern is!”
2) Ellie the Elephant Baby Booties by Hopefully Honey
“From watching Dumbo dozens of times to being glued in front of the tv whenever Babar was on, it’s fair to assume that I had an obsession with elephants from a young age!”
3) Elephant Pillow by Heart Hook Home
“Do you have an elephant lover in your life? I decided to make an elephant pillow to give as a gift to friends of ours that are expecting their first child. What a sweet little (BIG) gift for baby!”
4) Elephant Tissue Box by Nicky’s Homemade Crafts
“Creating this Elephant Tissue Box, a free crochet pattern, was absolutely fun and I was so amazed at how fast one can crochet this tissue box. The most amazing feature is that the tissues come out and are pulled out of the trunk.”
5) E is for Elephant by Repeat Crafter Me
Here is a sweet little elephant applique you can crochet. Imagine all the ways you can use it.
6) Meimei Baby Elephant by Look At What I Made
“Meimei means little sister in Chinese. And isn’t it the perfect name for this little baby elephant crochet pattern? She has movable limbs, so she can sit and stand with ease.”
7) Filet Elephant Blanket by The Lavender Chair
This filet crochet blanket features a cute little elephant in the middle and a charming border.
