Stitchopedia Video & Photo Tutorial
Do you know how to p2tog? It’s just exactly what it sounds like, you purl, but instead of picking up 1 stitch, you pick up 2 and then you just purl them as one.
So it’s a decrease stitch that can be worked on the purl side of your piece. I’ve made a video and also have written out instructions with photos. Time to p2tog my friends!

Written instructions with photos
Insert right needle from right front to left front through the first 2 stitches on the left needle. This is the same as for a regular purl, just through 2 stitches instead of one. Now the rest of the stitch is worked in the same manner as a purl.
Yarn over purl wise in same manner as for regular purl stitch.
Pull yarn over through the two stitches.
Slide old stitches off the left needle. Now the 2 stitches from the left needle are only 1 stitch on the right needle, so you’ve made a decrease.
Congratulations! Now you know how to p2tog. Keep knitting my crafty fam.
Here are some supplies you may find useful.
Happy stitching my friends.
