Skylark Through the Looking Glass
I’ve had many requests for a knit version of Skylark in Wonderland, so here it is! This flowing wrap uses Frabjous Fibers Mad Hatter (DK weight) yarn, which comes in many colors for you to personalize your own! It also features short rows for the shaping. When laid out flat, it really does resemble a bird wing.
Circle Pouch – free knit pattern modern or medieval!
I’ve wanted to design and make a knit circle pouch for quite some time, but the right yarn never came along. I wanted something that would work when I went to Medieval reenactment events with my knight in shining armor, aka my husband Doug, so I needed a yarn that looked like it fit into the time period, but also a yarn that I liked and that would hold up to the stress of being a belt bag. I found that yarn with Kraemer Belfast Linen Blend yarn!

Puffed Pastry – Twisted and Twirled MKAL #5
The fifth necklace in the Twisted and Twirled Knit necklace series features an interesting way of adding tucks into your knitting to make little puffs. It’s made with Aunt Lydia’s Baker’s Cotton, which is what brought about the name. It also has 4 twists in it to spin the puffs around. This necklace works up quickly with less than 70 yards of fingering/thread weight yarn.
Lace with a Twist ~ Twisted and Twirled MKAL #4
The fourth necklace in the Twisted and Twirled Knit necklace series is made with a diagonal lace stitch. It has 4 twists in it, which increases the motion of the pattern. This swirled necklace can be worked up in no time with less than 35 yards of lace weight yarn.
Dueling Stripes – Twisted and Twirled MKAL #3
The third necklace in the Twisted and Twirled Knit necklace series is made with the linen stitch in the round. The linen stitch has a wonderful texture on both sides, yet both sides are different. The name: Dueling Stripes, comes from the fact that on what is usually considered the right side of the linen stitch the stripes of color wrap around the necklace, and on what is usually considered the wrong side of the linen stitch the stripes go up and down on the necklace. This necklace has 4 twists in it, showing off both sides of the stitch. This beautifully textural necklace can be worked up in no time with less than 40 yards of fingering weight yarn.
