Knotty ~ Twisted and Twirled MKAL #1

Knotty ~ Free Knit Pattern by Jessie At Home

Knotty
Twisted and Twirled Knit Necklace #1
Knit Pattern
Easy Skill Level
Designed by Jessie Rayot

The first necklace in the Twisted and Twirled Knit necklace series is made with a simple garter stitch in the round, this means knit and purl stitches. It has 3 twists in it, and lots of fun hanging ends. This playful necklace can be worked up quite quickly with less than 30 yards of fingering weight yarn. It can be made with or without a knot at the end for a fun little detail.

The yarn used in this sample was donated by Miss Babs for the Marly Bird Designer Dinner at the summer 2015 TNNA Needlearts Trade Show.

This necklace is part of the Twisted and Twirled MKAL (Mystery Knit ALong).

Spring Cowgirl

Spring Cowgirl is a continuous shawl with a cowl neck top. Maybe that makes it a shawl point cowl? I have no idea what to call this thing! Let’s just call it pretty. It uses 2 generous sample size skeins of yarn (a 50g and a 25g skein), but can be made from one 100g skein of fingering weight yarn, with plenty leftover for a fun small project. (Maybe one or two of the Twisted and Twirled MKAL or MCAL patterns.) The yarn was provided by Mode Knit Yarn and Knitcircus Yarns as part of the swag bags from the Marley Bird Designer Dinner at the Summer 2015 TNNA Needlearts Trade Show. Thank you!!! Both yarns were a pleasure to work with and the colors are just beautiful.

Two Ways Drink Cozy

Drink cozies are awesome in the summer! They catch the condensation, keep you from freezing your hand on your cold drink, keep your drink cold, and act as a traveling coaster for your gatherings. These knit can or bottle cozies can also be made in a variety of colors or stripes so that no one wonders who’s drink is who’s. This is a double pattern, one worked in garter stitch, and one in stockinette stitch. The Two Ways Drink Cozy pattern is part of my Patriotic Party KAL.

Crochet Patriotic Placemat

I love the look of the blue triangle and diagonal red and white stripes to represent the flag. It works so well for a placemat, and there is no worry of being disrespectful to the flag this way. I made a similar knit pattern a while back, and had quite a few requests for a crochet version. I had to find just the right stitch for it, and the linen stitch fit the bill. I have also included a chart of a mini version of the pattern which should help out with those of you who are more visual. This pattern is part of the Jessie At Home Patriotic CAL/KAL.
