Around and around we go! Time for the border of the inner section of the Ginny’s Grannies Blanket CAL. This is a great part to make while binge watching your favorite show. It’s very simple, and I love the look it creates. If you want a baby blanket, this is a great place to stop, and if you want a couch throw, you can finish to this point with a thicker yarn and larger hook.

Find all the details and additional links about Ginny’s Grannies HERE.

Yarn support for the Ginny’s Grannies Sampler Blanket CAL was provided by Kraemer Yarns. You can sign up for their newsletter so you can stay on top of what’s new at Kraemer and be entered in the monthly drawing for a $100 yarn jackpot. Also, shipping from Kraemer is free on all orders over $50.

Stitches and Notes

Stitches and Abbreviations: click on highlighted sts for tutorials
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)

Special Stitches:

st2sc – stack 2 single crochet – Counts as a dc: Insert hook into indicated st or sp, yo, pull through (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through both loops (sc just made), insert hook in left vertical loop of sc just made, yo, pull through (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through both loops.
This stitch is also known as the doubled chain 2 (dch2), and a tutorial can be found HERE.

Getting Started:
  • Round/Row counts are at the end of each row after the period, if the count has changed from the previous round. – {count here}
  • Chs and sl sts are not included in Round/Row counts unless specified.
  • Most Rounds end with a sl st into the first st that was made in that round. “First stitch” of the next Round is the st that was slip stitched into.
  • Many Rounds end by working sts into the same corner space as was worked into at the beginning of the Round.
