This Linen Stitch Basket is great for holding your yarn or other small items. By using the linen stitch in alternating colors, vertical stripes are created. Choose your favorite colors of Hoooked Ribbon XL yarn to make this pattern your own. The base of the basket is single crochet, making it very sturdy. If your base buckles, then just wet block your basket to get it into shape.
This purse was inspired by the awesome JUL strap I was asked to review. I had some Berroco Indigo yarn left over from another project and they just seemed to fit together so well. I’d been thinking of making a granny square style purse for a while now, and everything finally came together to make that happen. I was so inspired by the results that I took the time to line it, which is an easy final touch that you can choose to do as well.
This basket is the first pattern in the Spa Basket CAL. This event will run from 8/30/16 through 12/7/16, and features 12 patterns from 12 amazing designers. Sometimes you need to bring your yarnie projects along with you! This bag lets you do that in style. The fun ruffles and flowers add a fun flair. It is big enough to carry a work in progress, but not so big it is unwieldy.
The town farmers market is finally open for the season! I LOVE going to the farmers market, and I love using re~usable bags. For years I have been using the tote bags you can buy at the grocers, but this year I am making a market bag! This market bag has a hexagon base, a mesh side, and a long shoulder strap on top! I have chosen the super simple chain and slip st mesh for the side because it works so well for market bags, and I like the look. On our first outing to the market with the bag this morning, my daughter Vada dubbed it the “Grand Old Flag Bag.”
There are so many things I should be doing today. I think I will make a new pattern instead.
