What To Do With All This Yummy Yarn
I’ve picked projects for all my happy Hobbii yarn. I’ll share the finished products and patterns with you as they are completed. In the meantime, here are my WiPs (works in progress).
Magical Poncho
First we have an update to my Magical Poncho knit pattern. This is an old pattern of mine that I’ve been wanting to update for a while.
I knew I wanted to find a fuzzy or furry yarn, along with some other yarns with a combination of subtle color changes, sparkles, and textures. Plus, they had to work together.
Bonus points for a good amount of color choices for each yarn so all of you could change the colors to fit your tastes.
Hobbii had the answer. I found three size 5 (chunky) yarns that were just what I needed for this pattern update.
- Peacock in Dark Gray #13
- Fantasy in Space Creation #04
- Fantasy in Japanese Maples #06
- Glitter Delight in Japanese Maples #06
- Glitter Delight in Pastel Rainbow #01
It was my intention for this to be my Rhinebeck “sweater” this past weekend. However, I did not finish it in time. That’s fine, I’ll find plenty of other times to wear this snuggly poncho when it’s done!
80’s Legs
Next we have Silly Socks Disco. Leg warmers have been on my to-do list for-practically-ever. When I saw these neons, they screamed “80’s leg warmers!” I thought of making socks for a hot minute. Vero set me right, and leg warmers it is.
Keeping with the 80’s theme, the two colors will be reversed on the second leg warmer. When the set is complete, I will share the pattern.
- Silly Socks Disco in Neon Yellow #01
- Silly Socks Disco in Neon Pink #02
Inspired Bowl
And then there was the Rafaella. Raffia yarn is so distinctive and fun.
When I chose Rafaella as a yarn I wanted to review I had a few ideas going. Once I got it in my hands and made a few stitches, I knew it had to be a cool African-inspired basket-bowl.
This nifty crochet pattern will be forthcoming.
- Rafaella in Dark Green #05
- Rafaella in Dark Red #12
- Rafaella in Bordeaux #13
- Rafaella in Chocolate #17
Handy Holdings
In addition to the squishy yarn, Hobbii sent me this super sturdy and useful Project Bag. It’s well made, lined, and has a pockets inside!
The fabric is thick enough that if you spilled something on it, whatever’s inside would most likely be safe if you cleaned off the bag quickly. This draw string Project Bag also comes in a pink and an ivory.
