Getting Started
- Read through all instructions before beginning.
- To fasten off after chains, pinch the last chain made, then chain one more, cut the yarn, pull it through the loop just made, and pull tight, without letting go of pinched stitch.

Fluffy Hat Easy Free Crochet Pattern
Rnd 1: Ch 43 (49, 55, 61), sc in second ch from hook and each remaining ch, sl st in first sc. {42 (48, 54, 60) sc}
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each of first 3 sts, ch 3, skip 3, [sc in each of next 3 sts, ch 3, skip 3] around, sl st in each of first three sc. {42 (48, 54, 60) sts including chs}
Row 3: Ch 1, [working over chains, dc in each of next 3 sts 2 rows below, ch 3, skip 3] around, sl st in each of first three dc.
Repeat Row 3 until there are a total of 19 (22, 25, 28) rows.
Hat Top
Rnd 1: Ch 1, [working over chains, dc in each of next 3 sts 2 rows below, ch 2, skip 3] around, sl st in each of first three dc. {35 (40, 45, 50) sts including chs}
Rnd 2: Ch 1, [working over chains, (dc2tog, dc) in next 3 sts 2 rows below, ch 2, skip 3] around, sl st in each of first two sts. {28 (32, 36, 40) sts including chs}
Rnd 3: Ch 1, [working over chains, (dc2tog, dc) in next 3 sts 2 rows below, ch 1, skip 2] around, sl st in each of first two sts. {21 (24, 27, 30) sts including chs}
Rnd 4: Ch 1, [working over chains, dc2tog in next 2 sts 2 rows below, ch 1, skip 2] around, sl st in first st. {14 (16, 18, 20) sts including chs}
Rnd 5: Ch 1, [working over chains, dc2tog in next 2 sts 2 rows below, sc in next st] around, sl st in first st. {14 (16, 18, 20) sts including chs}
Fasten off leaving a long tail, do not weave in.
Finishing
- Ch 10, sl st to a st in Rnd 5, ch 10, cut yarn and fasten off.
- Repeat with each st around Rnd 5.
- Cut yarn tails from tassels close to ends.
- Thread yarn tail from Rnd 5 onto a yarn needle and sew it in and out around the top of Rnd 5, pull tight to close top of hat.
Weave in all ends.
