The Ginny’s Grannies blanket has been in the works in my head for a while now. About 10 years ago I crocheted an afghan loosely following a pattern from the 1977 Better Homes and Gardens Crocheting and Knitting book.
I really loved the geometry of the Better Homes & Gardens Blanket it and how it all came together. I wanted to design a blanket of my own with similar geometry. This year’s CAL has been just that, my own design, but using a similar layout as the BH&G afghan. It’s been a fun journey, and 2021 is going to be even more awesome!

2021 CAL is coming!
So let’s talk about 2021. The Jessie At Home Blanket CAL will be a great way to learn some classic stitch patterns and some modern and unique stitch patterns. As always, it will happen on the third Thursday of every month. This year I’m adding video tutorials to all the parts. I still have to decide when those will go live; I’m thinking either the day after the CAL part, or the fourth Thursday of the month. Thoughts? Can you wait a whole week, or should I just go ahead and do the videos the next day?
