More projects done, and even more to make!

I’ve been knitting and crocheting like a mad woman lately. I want my patterns to the best I can make them before I post them. But in the mists of all that, I got a little commission from one of the lovely ladies at my grocery store.

Sew fun!!

Well, I guess it’s going around. Yarrrn Club at InsaniTea was rather sparse on Sunday due to people being sick. It was just me, Jenn (yea!!!) and Jenn’s daughter Katrina. Ingrid acquired a new mug. I fell in love! It’s even a little dimensional. 70’s fun!

Gobble Gobble, Ho Ho Ho!!

As usual, I’m a bit late in posting these pictures.  We had a wonderful time visiting family in Beverly for Thanksgiving.  So much fun in fact, that I frequently forgot to pick up the camera. Ooops. We stayed with my cousin Christine, who hosted a small Thanksgiving at her apartment. Afterwards Tom, her boyfriend, kicked everybody out of the kitchen so that he could clean it all up.  Vada popped in and asked if she could help, and amazingly he … Read more

Just monkeying around

Lots of monkeying around here lately. We are working on sock monkeys for the current Craft Hope project. These little guys will be going to children who lost their homes in the Texas wildfires. Our contribution started out with these 4 cute little girls.

Powerful Powerless Lessons

So it snowed Saturday morning/afternoon. Umm…isn’t it October. Who ever heard of a white Halloween? It was a bit odd. I had already told the girls we would go to the grocery for their Trick or Treating at noon, so we ran out to the car and braved the oddness. About 3:30, Doug and I were playing with the girls in their room, and the power went out. It soon became clear it was going to stay out for quite … Read more

Octie-is-finally-done

O frabjous day!

Callooh! Callay! It truly is a frabjous day, I have finally finished the octagon blanket! I first told you about this crazy guy over a year ago. When I started him, there were so many other things I was working on, that he kind of ended up on the back burner. Life took hold and he spent most of the last year yearning for my attention. If you remember, the hexagon blanket was for Vada, and the octagon is Kyla’s. She … Read more

Free Kid’s Clothes!! Part 2

We got our JCPenney gift card! We all had a great time shopping for kid’s clothes. So. Much. Fun. I received my $100 gift card from JCPenney  that I told you about the other day. Talk about timing, the UPS guy was leaving as Doug was getting home. So then we excitedly hopped into the car and drove off to the mall to get some kid’s clothes! For free! Kyla and Vada were all ready to go buy some pretty … Read more
