Stand back…

My head is going to explode, you may want to take a step back…

I have so much going on right now I can’t seem to keep it all straight, and I feel like my head may go kaplooy at any moment. Kaplooy? How do you spell ka-ploo-ie?

I have the top of the Katherine coat done, and am about 1/4 of the way done with the top part of the skirt. So I still need to do the rest of the top part of the skirt, the bottom of the skirt, the hood, the pockets, and the belt. I leave for the knit and crochet show two weeks from today. Oh dear.

Let’s not even get into the rest of the things I need to do before then.

So, rather than working on my coat, I am enjoying a yummy evening snack and chatting with you, my Blogland friends.

Ingrid’s birthday was on Friday. Seeing as she is pretty much always at InsaniTea (that’s what happens when you own a small business) we just threw her a party there.

There was much fun had by all! Lots of very delicious food as well.

Ingrid’s mother and aunt came by. Everyone is always so happy at InsaniTea. It’s fun to embrace your crazy!

We ordered a few pizzas. I think there may still be leftovers in the fridge in the back.

No party is complete without a kid sticking a finger in the cake(no, that is not one of mine.) Ingrid and Kelly were amused.

Time to blow out the candle!

On Sunday we went to a street fair in the next town over. Kyla and Vada got new belts. They insisted on wearing them.

Gotta love election season! Free balloon animals at one of the political booths. Isn’t the butterfly just the cutest?!

The girls had their first Ferris Wheel ride. After, Kyla told me, “Mommy, I was higher then a butterfly!”

The high school band marched quickly through the fair.

Kyla ran into a mischievous clown with some red face paint. She also talked us into a character ice cream. It had black eyes. That black food coloring is some powerful stuff!

The girls got a hold of an empty box yesterday. Fun times.

They wanted to build a play house, but eventually decided the box was not big enough. So they built a play house for some toys instead.

With everything I have to do, I seem to have a hard time knowing when to say enough. I REALLY love working at the school book fair, which is tomorrow and the next day. So I volunteered. Tomorrow night is also back to school night.

I can’t really bring the Katherine coat with me, it is just too big to work on in small chunks of time. So I packed up some things I can do in the 10 minute breaks we sometimes get between classes coming into the fair.

Wish me luck surviving the next week (or two.)
